What this tool does. It aggregates common industry risks and suggested controls into a draft NDIS Risk Register based on what you select, giving you a baseline against the NDIS Practice Standards. It presents around 80 common risks, so you must also identify and add any risks specific to your own participants, staff, and locations.
It is a starting point, not finished compliance. The options offered reflect common compliant practice, not every pathway open to you. You need to review the draft, tailor it to how your organisation actually works, add anything specific to your service, and keep it current. An auditor assesses your practice, not just the existence of a policy, so the document only helps if your day-to-day operations match it. Risk management is ongoing: update the register as your organisation grows, after any incident or near-miss, and when NDIS Commission guidance changes.
